Privacy policy

Last updated 6 November 2026

Babawords is used by children, so we keep this short and strict: we store only what makes your child's book work on your devices, we never show ads, and we never sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Who has an account

The account belongs to a parent or carer, who signs in with Apple or Google. Children don't sign in and don't have accounts. We keep the name and email address Apple or Google shares with us. If you choose “Hide my email” with Apple, we only see Apple's relay address.

What we store

  • Each child's first name (or nickname) and the book's settings, such as language and card size.
  • The boards and cards you make: words, pictures, voice recordings and AI-made pictures and voices.
  • Which cards are tapped and when, so you can see which words your child uses. This never leaves your account.
  • The names of the devices you signed in on, so you can see them in Account.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored with Cloudflare (D1 database and R2 storage) and on your own devices. Pictures and recordings are private to your account and are only sent to devices you sign in on.

AI features

When you ask for an AI picture, voice or word ideas, the word or phrase you typed is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to make the result. We don't send your child's name, photos or recordings to AI models.

What we don't do

  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
  • No selling or renting of data.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Grown-ups, then Account, then Delete account. This deletes your account, every child's book, pictures and recordings from our servers, and signs out every device. You can also email[email protected].
